Music first got under my skin at about the age of 14, picking up a classical guitar to start learning chords and strum rock songs. After attending BTEC courses and developing my skills on guitar and bass, I became interested in sound engineering and recording. After three years of study I went on to teach Music Technology and Performance at Eastleigh College, ultimately becoming the course leader before, sadly, all music courses were cut.
I returned to full-time study achieving a First Class Honours Degree in Popular Music Studies and Record Production in 2009.
I spent my evenings playing in bands and working as a sound engineer in local venues, working with grass-roots talent to touring artists, some of whom became global mega-stars including, Jessie J, Frank Turner, Ellie Goulding and Blaze Bailey (Iron Maiden).
After leaving the music scene to start a family, I now work as freelance sound engineer and music producer, running my own audio production company MGAP out of my home studio.
